Our main office is in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with a global network of delivery centers in the Philippines, Mexico, and Ghana.

In the Philippines, we already have four centers with more than a hundred employees in each site.

The Role:

The Finance Director is responsible for overseeing all FTO financial activities to ensure the company stays in strong financial standing. He or she is primarily responsible for creating income reports, allocating calculated cash to other divisions, and carrying out corporate financial policies.


Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

The following are the specific duties and responsibilities of the Finance Director


● Directly report to the President

● Directly supervise the Accounting Manager, Procurement Manager, Payroll Manager and its Officers within the company;

● Reporting to work for eight (8) hours a day, excluding the one (1) hour meal period, and five (5) days a week;

● Oversee operations involving finance and accounting activities, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met

● Ensure compliance with government regulations related to tax rates and contributions.

● Direct and supervise staff to ensure that they are appropriately motivated and developed so that they carry out their responsibilities to the required standard

● Developing all necessary policies and procedures to ensure the sound financial management and control of the company’s business

● Provide financial advice and guidance to the company’s managers and staff to enable them to achieve their objectives

● Monitor external contracts and services provided by suppliers to ensure that these are operating effectively and provide the best value to the company.

● Bring any improvement initiatives to light for discussion and support on a global scale

● Develop and implement an internal audit programmed to ensure that the company complies with financial procedures and regulations

● Conduct analysis to make forecasts and report to upper executives

● Recognize patterns in company spending, revenue, and recommend solutions to any problem areas.

● Reviewing departmental budgets.

● Assessing, managing, and minimizing risk.

● Analyzing complex financial data. Corporate Responsibilities

● Lead by example as a role model for Fair Trade Outsourcing’s mission, vision, and Agents Bill of Rights (ABOR).

● Initiate and drive the delivery of business and corporate plans for assigned areas of responsibility.

● Take a proactive approach towards risk management, ensuring risks and issues are accurately identified, addressed, and reported and, where appropriate, escalated.

● Be actively involved with managing individuals or teams through line management and/or matrix management arrangements as required, ensuring underperformance is managed, exemplary performance is reinforced, and adequate resourcing is planned to meet objectives.

● Must be fully aware of and actively complying with Fair Trade Outsourcing’s policies and procedures relevant to own responsibilities and to corporate policies and procedures including but not limited


Qualifications:

● Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with at least 10 years of managerial experience handling Accounting and Finance, Payroll, and Procurement team

● CPA or other relevant qualification is a plus

● In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws and best practices

● Prior experience in regional finance is an advantage

● Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting

● Excellent organizational and leadership skills

● Outstanding communication with good command in English language both written and spoken and must possess strong interpersonal abilities

● Deep understanding on legal accounting requirements and administration processes in the region

● External vendor management skills and ability to govern processes by metrics

● Collaborative work style, fostering cooperation and teamwork to achieve results

● Must have experience handling complex Accounting software

● Experience handling SAP ERP software is a plus
