Fair Trade Outsourcing™ (FTO) is a fast-growing BPO company and fair trade outsourcing center that provides impact sourcing work for companies worldwide.
Our main office is in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with a global network of delivery centers in the Philippines, Mexico, and Ghana.
In the Philippines, we already have four centers with more than a hundred employees in each site.
The Payroll Manager is responsible for all levels of payroll transactions and programs. It also includes responsibilities for employees’ compensation, safety, record keeping, and related compliance. The Payroll Manager shall provide leadership and supervision, and guidance to the Payroll team in operational and service matters. S/he applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge by offering value-added viewpoints or consulting services that may contribute to the development of new techniques, models, and plans within the area of expertise. Full supervisory duty, including the direction of daily activities and responsibilities, as well as the appraisal of performance, compensation, recruiting, disciplinary action, and terminations is also a part of the Payroll Manager’s scope.
Responsibilities
Managing & ensuring the efficient operation of the payroll function & department, including the generation, payout & reporting of regular payroll & special off-cycle payroll
Coordinates w/ the payroll vendor on the processing of payroll & ensures timely payout.
Coordinates w/ the payroll vendor to ensure compliance w/ all local government regulatory reporting requirements.
Review payroll checklist & signing-off of on payroll cycle.
Uploading of the Bank File for payment distribution to the associates.
Perform payroll activities associated w/ overpayment processing & claw back.
Oversee & confirm the preparation & payments &/or remittances of mandatory contributions & government loans to appropriate government agencies.
Responsible for the creation and entry of payroll entries in accounting software and monthly payroll accruals and entries
Preparations of reports for 1601 C form/monthly remittance return of income taxes withheld on compensation.
Balances the payroll accounts by resolving payroll discrepancies.
Coordinates w/ the tax team on the reconciliation & filing of monthly income tax & PEZA reporting requirements.
Ensures that the 2316 of associates are distributed in a timely manner & that the Annual income tax returns/Alpha list is filed on time w/ the Bureau of Internal Revenue
Interact w/ both internal & external customers ranging from employees, managers, internal partners to external third-party payroll related vendors.
Interact w/ key internal functional partners such as HRBPs, ARBP & Finance.
Manages the final pay of exited associates, ensuring it is w/in the requirement of the law.
Reviews processes related to payroll & final pay & suggests improvements to the processes.
Keeps abreast of regulatory requirements impacting employee pay advising management on required actions & ensuring compliance.
Lead by example as a role model for Fair Trade Outsourcing’s mission, vision, and Agents Bill of Rights (ABOR).
Initiate and drive the delivery of business and corporate plans for assigned areas of responsibility.
Take a proactive approach towards risk management, ensuring risks and issues are accurately identified, addressed, and reported and, where appropriate, escalated.
Be actively involved with managing individuals or teams through line management and/or matrix management arrangements as required, ensuring underperformance is managed, exemplary performance is reinforced, and adequate resourcing is planned to meet objectives.
